These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Chefatron website and platform. Listing submissions are also subject to the Posting Guidelines.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Chefatron, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Posting Guidelines, and any other applicable Chefatron policies.
If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Nature of the Platform
Chefatron is a platform that facilitates connections between users, including buyers, sellers, vendors, service providers, and users interested in swaps, requests, or other arrangements. Chefatron does not own, produce, sell, resell, inspect, prepare, package, ship, deliver, control, or guarantee any listings, products, food items, services, swaps, requests, or exchanges offered by users.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, fulfillment, or outcome of any listing, transaction, service, swap, request, or user arrangement.
Chefatron provides basic account, listing, messaging, checkout, reporting, and moderation tools to help users make informed decisions. However, buyers, sellers, vendors, and swappers are responsible for reviewing listings, confirming details, following applicable laws, and completing their own agreements.
User Accounts
Users must provide accurate and current information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Chefatron reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Posting Guidelines, or other platform policies.
Chefatron reserves the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, or terminate access at its sole discretion, without notice, for any violation or suspected violation of these Terms or any other platform policy.
Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use Chefatron. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
Chefatron does not knowingly allow minors to create accounts, post listings, participate in transactions, or use the platform.
Listings and Transactions
Users are solely responsible for the content of their listings and for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
Paid vendor transactions may be completed through Chefatron’s website checkout when available. Free swaps, barter listings, requests, and off-platform arrangements are handled directly between users unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Chefatron does not guarantee the outcome of any transaction, listing, swap, request, service arrangement, or off-platform agreement.
Users assume all risks associated with interactions and transactions conducted through or arranged using the platform.
Chefatron is not a party to private agreements between users and does not assume responsibility for disputes, damages, losses, failed swaps, missed services, non-payment, non-delivery, or other issues arising from user-to-user arrangements, except where Chefatron chooses to review or moderate activity under its platform policies.
Platform Fees and Payment Processing
Chefatron may charge a platform fee or commission on certain paid vendor transactions completed through the website. Chefatron’s current standard platform commission is 5% of vendor sales, unless otherwise stated or agreed to in writing.
Platform fees, commission rates, payment processing fees, vendor payout timing, and related payment terms may change over time. Chefatron may update its fees, commission structure, or payment processing methods at its discretion. Any applicable fees may be shown or communicated through checkout, vendor setup, platform documentation, or applicable payment provider information.
Vendors are responsible for applicable payment processing fees, including fees charged by Stripe or other payment providers, unless Chefatron states otherwise. Payment processing services may be provided by third-party providers such as Stripe, Stripe Express, or Stripe Connect, and use of those services may be subject to the provider’s own terms, policies, fees, account requirements, and payout timing.
Taxes
Chefatron may collect applicable sales tax on taxable paid transactions completed through the website where required by law.
Users, sellers, and vendors are responsible for understanding and following any applicable federal, state, and local tax requirements that apply to their own listings, sales, swaps, services, income, business activities, licenses, permits, and records.
Free swaps, barter listings, requests, and off-platform arrangements are handled directly between users. Chefatron does not process payment or collect commission on those arrangements unless specifically stated. If an individual user or vendor completes an off-platform taxable sale, that user or vendor is responsible for their own tax obligations.
Chefatron does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Users and vendors should consult a qualified professional if they have questions about their obligations.
Food and Professional Services
Users and vendors offering food, homemade food, professional services, or other regulated goods or services are responsible for complying with all applicable licensing, food safety, labeling, health, tax, business, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
Chefatron does not inspect kitchens, verify food preparation methods, certify food safety, guarantee licensing status, or determine whether a food item, product, or service complies with applicable law.
Vendor verification, when available, does not guarantee approval, quality, legal compliance, safety, licensing, or outcomes. Users consume food, purchase products, book services, and participate in arrangements at their own risk.
Refunds, Disputes, and Complaints
For paid vendor transactions completed through Chefatron checkout, refund requests, order concerns, or payment disputes may be reviewed based on available order records, user communication, payment status, vendor response, and platform policies.
Chefatron may provide basic tools for users to report issues, but Chefatron is not a full-service buyer protection, seller protection, insurance, reimbursement, or guarantee program.
For free swaps, barter listings, requests, or off-platform arrangements, users are responsible for the terms and outcome of their own agreements. Chefatron may review reports, remove listings, restrict accounts, or take moderation action when appropriate, but Chefatron is not responsible for reimbursing users or enforcing private off-platform agreements.
Limitation of Liability
Chefatron is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chefatron is not liable for damages arising from user interactions, listings, exchanges, services, payments, swaps, requests, or transactions conducted through or arranged using the platform.
This includes, but is not limited to, issues involving food items, products, services, swaps, requests, off-platform arrangements, payments, refunds, taxes, shipping, delivery, user conduct, vendor conduct, or third-party payment providers.
Modifications
Chefatron reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Nebraska.
